Rehabilitation and wellness care built around one idea: relieve the pain, then correct what caused it.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Individualized outpatient rehabilitation for injuries, post-operative recovery, and chronic orthopedic pain.
Every plan of care starts with a thorough evaluation of how you actually move. From there we build a progressive program of hands-on treatment and targeted exercise designed to restore strength, mobility, and confidence in the affected area, and to address what allowed the problem to develop.
Manual Therapy
Skilled hands-on techniques that release restricted tissue and restore normal joint mechanics.
Joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and fascial techniques are used to address the restrictions that limit motion and drive pain. Manual therapy is rarely the whole answer on its own, so it is paired with corrective exercise that keeps the gains you make on the table.
Integrative Dry Needling
A precise technique for calming overactive muscle tissue and relieving stubborn trigger points.
Integrative Dry Needling uses fine filament needles to treat neuromuscular pain and dysfunction at its source. It is especially effective for persistent muscular tightness and trigger points that have not responded to other approaches. Performed by a CIDN-certified clinician.
Sports Medicine
Injury care, return-to-play guidance, and performance work for athletes of every age.
From youth athletes through adult competitors, we treat the injury in front of us and then look upstream at the mechanics that produced it. The goal is a safe, well-paced return to sport with a lower risk of the same injury happening again.
Corrective Exercise
Targeted programming that resolves the muscular imbalances behind recurring pain.
Pain often shows up far from its actual cause. Corrective exercise addresses the postural and movement imbalances (the overworked muscles, the ones that stopped firing), so the body can distribute load the way it was designed to.
Running & Orthotic Intervention
Gait assessment and orthotic support for runners and anyone on their feet all day.
A specialty interest of the practice. We evaluate gait and foot mechanics, then use a combination of manual treatment, corrective exercise, and orthotic intervention where appropriate to keep you running comfortably and consistently.
Work & Industrial Injury
Rehabilitation for the "industrial athlete": getting you back to work and back to life.
Physically demanding jobs place athletic loads on the body without any of the conditioning. We treat work-related injuries with the same rigor as sports injuries, focusing on the strength and mechanics your specific job actually requires.
Clinical Massage Therapy
Therapeutic massage and neuromuscular re-education delivered with clinical intent.
Myofascial release, deep tissue, sports massage, and neuromuscular re-education, applied as part of a treatment plan rather than as a standalone luxury. Useful for relaxing overstressed tissue and reactivating muscle that has gone quiet.
How care works
What to expect
01
Evaluation
A thorough assessment of your history, your symptoms, and, critically, how you actually move. We look upstream and downstream from where it hurts.
02
Hands-on treatment
Manual therapy, dry needling, and soft tissue work aimed at the restrictions and trigger points driving your symptoms. This is where relief starts.
03
Corrective programming
A targeted exercise plan that rebalances what the evaluation uncovered, so the improvement holds once treatment ends.
04
Return to life
A graded return to your sport, your job, or simply your day, with the knowledge and the plan to lower the risk of it happening again.
Common questions
Before your first visit
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
For physical therapy, yes. We ask for a physician referral before we
evaluate and treat, and most insurance plans require one as well. Our
wellness and massage services do not require a referral and can be booked
directly. If you are not sure which one you need, call us and we will point
you the right way.
What should I bring and wear?
Bring your photo ID, insurance card, and any imaging or physician notes related
to your condition. Wear comfortable clothing that lets us access and observe the
area we are treating. Athletic shorts and a t-shirt work well for most visits.
How long is an appointment?
Your initial evaluation is 75 minutes, which gives us time to assess
thoroughly and start treatment on the same visit. Follow-up appointments are
45 minutes.
What happens if I miss an appointment?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment.
Insurance cannot be billed for a missed visit, so an appointment cancelled
with less than 24 hours notice, or missed without notice, is billed to you
directly at the rate for that service.
Illness, weather, and emergencies happen. Tell us as soon as you are able
and we are glad to waive the fee where the circumstances warrant it.
Repeated missed appointments affect the care we are able to provide, both
to you and to patients waiting for that time, and may result in discharge
from the practice.
Does dry needling hurt?
Most patients describe a brief cramp or twitch rather than sharp pain. The
needles are very fine, much thinner than those used for injections. Some muscle
soreness for a day afterward is normal and usually a good sign.
